Washington Imaging Services has been awarded accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for our high practice standards in the imaging modalities of PET, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
Accreditation was awarded after a voluntary and rigorous peer review process. Image quality and procedure evaluations were conducted by board-certified radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
Personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs were also reviewed. The surveyors reported their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provided the practice with a comprehensive report and the award of accreditation for the modalities evaluated—PET, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
